Washman provides laundry, dry cleaning, shoe care, garment alterations, clothing recycling, and home cleaning services across the UK. Services are booked via our website or mobile app and include free pickup and delivery.
2. User Responsibilities
Customers must:
Provide accurate information at the time of booking
Ensure safe access to the pickup and delivery location
Notify us of any special instructions, allergies, or fabric sensitivities
Make sure garments are labelled properly and suitable for the requested service
3. Order Process
Orders must be scheduled in advance via our app or website.
Pickup and delivery times are selected at booking and subject to availability.
Customers may cancel or reschedule up to 3 hours before the scheduled time without charge.
Missed pickups or uncollected deliveries may incur a redelivery fee.
4. Pricing & Payments
All prices are listed in GBP and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
Payment is due at the time of booking.
We accept major debit/credit cards and digital wallets.
Refunds will only be issued for service failures or verified loss/damage (see Section 6).
Failed payments may result in paused services until resolved.
5. Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically each month on the billing date.
Users can pause, reschedule, or cancel via their account dashboard.
Cancellation must occur before the next billing date to avoid charges.
Partial month refunds are not provided.
6. Garment Handling & Liability
We follow industry-standard practices for washing, drying, and dry cleaning.
Items are cleaned according to care labels. We are not liable for damage due to:
Inaccurate/missing care instructions
Pre-existing defects
Colour bleeding, shrinking, or texture changes inherent to the fabric
Lost items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. If confirmed, we will:
Offer repair, replacement (based on depreciation), or refund
Our liability is limited to a maximum of 10x the cleaning cost of the lost item
7. Home Cleaning Services
Clients must provide safe, legal access to the property.
Washman cleaners are vetted, insured, and trained for general domestic cleaning.
Cancellations within 24 hours of an appointment may incur a late cancellation fee.
Customers are responsible for disclosing hazards, valuable items, or special requests.
8. Clothing Recycling
Items collected for recycling are non-returnable and become the property of Washman.
We ensure all recyclable items are processed responsibly, either through donation or sustainable disposal.
9. Limitation of Liability
Washman is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for the related service.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect and process data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Personal information is used only to deliver services, support communication, and manage accounts.
